The City of Manchester is up but Not United.
Blue is the color that rises into the skies as the Red Devils sink deeper into misery. It is yet another week of misery for Manchester United as Liverpool showed who the real Reds in England are. Mohammed too swift for a hurried Maguire and Lindelof not a Victor at Old Trafford.
Old Trafford is no longer a theatre of dreams for the Red Devils as it left them with nightmares during the Sunday’s fixture. An away from home fixture that saw Liverpool perform an exorcism on the Devils in Manchester. United fans fled for their lives as the Stretford end was no longer a safe zone.
So much talking points from the Sunday’s fixture that has led to so much speculations on the sacking of Ole Gunnar Solskjar. The oil is seen to be depleting and the wheels are turning against the baby-faced assassin.
It is two days since the 0-5 thrashing at the hands of Liverpool and the board is seen to trust the process under Ole. United are on top of their Champions League group but have struggled to secure the two wins. It is Ronaldo’s heroics that have seen the Red Devils raise their hope in keeping the top spot in the group.
A run of trough fixtures await the Red Devils with up next being spurs followed by a trip to Italy to face Atlanta then a home fixture at the hands of Manchester City.
0-5 thrashing is seen as a just but the beginning for the Red Devils as they hold on to their 1999 champions league hero to steer them ahead.
We can say it is all up for Ole but the board is not done yet. Even with a possibility of Ole facing the sack, everything ends up to the board. Despite Ole lacking the tactical capabilities of a top manager, United still need a restructuring at the top. Woodward is leaving come the end of the year but of course the owners will have some influence in the appointing of the new Vice Chairman.
United should changing its restructuring into being ran more as a football club than a business entity.
