Can be termed as the longest transfer saga we've already seen in this decade. A 5-year contract running to 2026 with a clause to extend it to 2027 and a £ 250,000 weekly wage for the 21-year old at Manchester United. It took United almost a year and a half to complete the deal since making their official interest during last summer but had made interest prior during the winter transfer window. The deal was imminently going to happen but when it was going to happen was the biggest question.

A good deal for United worth the wait and the money. The long wait has indeed paid off as united will pay € 35 million less as the deal is meant to cost € 85 million plus € 10 million in add on and clauses bringing the total saved amount to € 25 million. It can indeed be seen as a paid off wait and bearing in mind United had no competition for Sancho, they took their time.

Two football clubs hit by the Covid-19 pandemic economic shock waves. United had to walk away from the initial bid that would cost € 120 Million terming the deal as 'too expensive'. United renewed their interest this summer after Dortmund reviewed the price tag and lowered it to € 95 million. With personal terms already agreed and Sancho showing intentions to leave, paperwork was what was remaining for the deal to go through. Not immediately but eventually for the young English man.

Sancho boosts total of 114 goals in his 137 games at just 21-years;

2020/21: 16 goals and 20 Assists in 38 games

2019/20: 20 Assists and 20 goals in 44 games

2018/19: 20 Assists and 13 goals in 43 games

Three progressive and improving seasons for the Right Winger.

How Manchester United will line up with Sancho.

Sancho will surely settle for the right wing position a position that has been occupied by Mason Greenwood during the latter period of the season. Mason is set to be the man in the middle of the attacking pack once Cavani leaves Old Trafford as the management is slowly falling out of patience in Martial. The attack shall be boosted with a Sancho addition proving a threat to the opposition. The "young forward line of pace" is set to take center-stage in the premier league. With a fully fit Rashford, Mason Greenwood, Jadon Sancho and Bruno Fernandes, Manchester United will seemingly be a threat to the opponents.

Sancho brings class to the United forward line boosting the goal contribution to the team. His pace and dribbling skills will help the Red Devils cut into the box through the right wing throughout the season.

Rumored to take up No. 7 but which is currently taken up by Cavani. A rumored exit for Martial would free up the No. 9 to Cavani and Sancho taking up No. 7.
